The hotel offers comfortable and clean rooms with a fast WiFi connection, situated conveniently in an alley close to the main road. The service is exemplary, with a friendly and accommodating staff always ready to assist. The location is superb for exploring the city on foot, being near various attractions and dining options. Although the dining experience might not be the most modern, the overall value for money is good, making it a pleasant stay.

7.0/10
The hotel has a great location in historic Charleston on King Street. The rooms face a brick wall and lack front parking, which might not be ideal for those with claustrophobia. However, they are good value and convenient for all our planned activities.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms face a brick wall and have no front parking, which might be uncomfortable for some. A separate dehumidifier running 24 hours was required, but they were good value for what we needed.
Service
7.0
The service was a mix - friendly and knowledgeable but also seemed a bit unorganized and helpless. They were supportive in finding us a replacement room and even helped cancel the rest of our reservation. Despite some hiccups, they are super accommodating and go out of their way to ensure everything is right.
Location
8.0
The location is ideal for exploring downtown Charleston and being in the center of everything. However, our room had some patched paint on the walls that didn't match and cracks in the ceiling. Nonetheless, being on King Street by Wyndham Charleston Historic District is pretty awesome for the money and location.
Dining
6.0
Dining options seemed limited, as we were right in front of the hotel, but with many great dining choices just a short walk away, who would want to eat here? Meals had to be taken in the restaurant and paid for directly, like the grilled and boiled fish available in Toast restaurant.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, offering essential services like room service, dry cleaning, and an airport shuttle.

7.0/10
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were initially in a terrible state, but improved by the third day. They were battle-damaged, dirty, and filled with insects upon arrival. However, the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly during a chaotic check-in period. The location was very convenient, being in the heart of Charleston. Dining options were limited, but the proximity to other great restaurants made up for it.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were initially awful and dirty, gradually improving. They were battle-damaged, with old and worn fittings. However, they became more comfortable as the stay progressed.
Service
8.0
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, despite some initial confusion. They made me feel welcome and assisted me during a busy check-in.
Location
9.0
The location was very convenient, right in downtown Charleston. It was a great base for exploring the city and near many attractions.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were limited, but the hotel's location near other great restaurants made up for it. I was able to enjoy meals outside the hotel.
Facilities
6.0
It seemed adequate for a standard stay.
